If you have guitar strings with color coded ball ends, they’re likely D’Addario, but there are other brands that use a similar codification. As far as D’Addario guitar strings go, however, there is a consistent color pattern to help you identify each string.

Note: Sharpened and flattened notes can lead to ‘enharmonic’ notes (e.g. A# and Bb) which are the same pitch, but with different names.
