There is no protective cover over the USB port and but the device has a maximum 1.7 Amp charge rate which I can confirm, thanks to Innokin’s very own Innokin MVP5 device being used as a power bank. Available in a range of colours, the Zenith 2 has fully adjustable airflow that allows for true user customisation. Innokin has also changed up the mouthpiece so now you can use your favourite tips! The threading for the battery cap is nice and smooth and I’ve had no issues with the battery door at all. Externals: Dropping the airflow down to just one hole, its still a good vape for me, but much more on the tighter side.

Please have a greater understanding of the batteries/chargers you are using and how to care for them properly. In settings you can change the display to a much more simple look with just your battery capacity, wattage and puff time displayed, you can also change the display time out from 5 seconds to 180 seconds. Scrolling through the menu with the Up & down adjustment buttons, there are a number of options. FØ Mode Producing a fully adjustable wattage that ranges from 6-80w, with Innokin’s latest chip this device now fires the coil in just 0.003 seconds. Its a bit like driving your car at different speeds to allow it to cool better when driving slow, and heat up when driving fast, as opposed to constantly driving fast.Way too many devices and kits to research to give you a good understanding of how far the Coolfire range has come. This clever feature will fire your device for 1 second at 40% of your set wattage as a way of ‘Refreshing’ your coil.

For the duration of my testing, I was vaping on Darkstar Code-Red for the RDL experience, a 80VG/20PG mix, and for the MTL experience with the 0.8Ω coil, I used another Darkstar product, Mango Unchained which is a 50VG 50PG Nic Salt. The 0.3Ω Z-Coil (30-40w)I wouldn’t say the Coolfire Z80 kit is the most durable, hard wearing bullet proof kit on the market by a long shot.

There are a fair few options to consider when it comes to operating the Coolfire Z80 tank, so I’ll try and break it own as simple as possible. Innokin is still making use of the same style of menu and functions from previous devices, which to start with may be a little confusing, you do eventually get the hang of things but it can take a few tries to figure it out. As always, considering this makes use of an external 18650 battery, I always recommend charging your batteries on an external charger as opposed to charging internally. The design of the tank is simple but with some added design elements that make it stand out. It is a great tank for MTL users and has a nice amount of resistance to prevent accidental opening. The Innokin Zenith 2 Tankhas a slightly angled shape with a nut-like protrusion at the bottom, which adds a unique touch. The inner part is engraved, and there are no bright colors or anything flashy. The airflow is designed for RDL, with a range of hole sizes that can be adjusted by rotating a control from a tiny hole to a gaping one. The top part can be opened to change the glass, and the bottom part can be opened to change the coil. The coils are press-fit, so there is no need for screwing. The coils are differentiated by color, with a gold one for the RDL1 and an empty L1. The mesh coil has a noticeable diameter. Performance NowI’m not saying that Innokin are witches at all, but they have implemented the F0 technology and the Refresh from the Sensis into the Coolfire Z80. They say “F0extends coil life and boosts flavours using alternating current (ACM) to produce a waveform that runs continuously while you vape. This is made possible by sending an electrical output in two directions across the coil, in a much more precise and efficient way”. Is that all nice and clear? I don’t have a degree in electronics so although I understand the words, I don’t really understand what is going on, much like most of Shakespeare if I’m honest, but what I do know is that the F0 tech works to an extent. Unlike the Sensis, they show recommended Hz levels when you go to adjust the F0 setting, 20-50Hz for RDL and 50-100hz for MTL. I know some people haven’t been able to detect any difference and it does take some playing around with the settings, but my experience with it is that it can make a subtle difference in taste of your liquid. It’s not necessarily that it makes it taste magically better, but adjusting the Hz can make certain flavours in the liquid more more prominent. When using the feature with the Zenith 2, it didn’t really make much of a difference but it was more noticable when using the mod with an RTA and actually did make one of my liquids taste slightly better. You may find no change at all, but it’s worth having a play about with the feature to see if it works for you.The 26 mm diameter of the tank may be an issue for some, but it’s only a problem if you buy the tank on its own and plan on using it with a smaller mod. But don’t let that distract you from the fact that the Zenith II is one of the best MTL tanks you can get right now, and the Z80 is an excellent mod for it. I can’t recommend this kit for RDL vaping, but for MTL, it gets two thumbs up. Generally speaking, most devices make use of DC (Direct Current) meaning there is a constant current to the coil which doesn’t rise or drop, it remains constant.

To set the airflow, just turn the airflow ring. There are three small holes for MTL and a slot for RDL vaping. The first hole is a tiny bit larger—I am guessing it is 0.8 mm and the other two are 0.6 mm. Note that the original Zenith and the Zenith Pro came with larger holes, so the Zenith II can get super tight if needed. And unlike the Zenith Pro, the slot on the II can be opened on its own, without using any of the smaller holes. Please be sure to inspect your battery before use to ensure it is not damaged including tears or rips in the battery wrap. Discontinue use immediately if battery is damaged. I’ve really no concerns over the lifespan of the Coolfire Z80 kit as long as you take care of it with regular maintenance, cleaning of the tank and aren’t too bothered by scruffs and scratches. The 510 ultem drip tip that comes with the Zenith 2 kit isn’t exactly my favourite, but due to its size its capable of being used for both RDL or MTL vaping, however for my personal preference I made use of the included Spare 510 drip-tip when using this tank as an MTL tank, purely because of its smaller bore and more slender MTL style.
