Making liqueurs is a venerable art that requires precision and time. In Liviko, both the herbal extracts and aromatic spirits are made from natural ingredients. Since the 19th century, Liviko’s liqueur masters have passed on their extensive knowledge and skills to the next generations. Liviko’s ever-expanding range of low-alcohol beverages includes many refreshing and distinctive flavours. The range includes Coolers and a globally unique drink – the Re-crafted Crafter’s Junibeer juniper beer. Liviko is also a trendsetter for low-alcohol beverages. This is a hard liqueur made from fine Jamaican rum, spices and citrus fruit, made by Liviko company. It was a game-changer on the market mostly dominated by vodka and a jump ahead in time. The original recipe is top-secret, of course. All we know is that it contains more than ten different ingredients. Most of the process is still hand-made. The recipe for Vana Tallinn was invented in 1960 by the bottling manager Bernhard Jurno, the distillery specialist Jaan Siimo and the master distiller Ilse Maar. The Vana Tallinn (Alc 45% vol) they created was the only drink in the Vana Tallinn product family until 1990. In 1990 The 45% product was replaced with a 40% product for export. In 1999 Vana Tallinn goes through a renewal, the bottle is made more slender, and the roof tile motif in its upper part is made deeper. 45% returned to the family and 50% were added The recipe for Vana Tallinn (45% vol) was invented in 1960 by the master distiller Ilse Maar, the bottling manager Bernhard Jürno and the distillery specialist Jaan Siimo. Vana Tallinn (45% vol) was the only drink in the Vana Tallinn product family until 1999, with liqueurs with an alcohol content of 40% and 50% vol added at a later time. More than 115 million bottles of Vana Tallinn liqueur have been sold since the production began in 1960. [2]
